Description

As a Digital Content Specialist, you will plan a key role in elevating the JR Automation brand across digital channels. You will be responsible for maintaining, writing, and optimizing content for our website, blog, social media, email marketing, and more. Along with strong writing and story-telling skills, you will stay on top of trends in digital marketing to ensure we reflect a modern, forward-thinking online presence.

Working with multiple teams across the organization, a successful candidate will consider themselves ‘part detective’ as they use their listening skills to research, gather and understand information. With that knowledge in hand, you will find opportunity to develop content that continues to position JR Automation as a leader in the industry. You will use you own voice, creativity, and problem-solver mindset to bring new ideas to all JR Automation marketing platforms.


What You’ll Do:
 
  • Create and assist in content development for a variety of marketing channels including but not limited to social media, blog, press releases, podcasts and video, marketing collateral, customer communications, training material, email marketing, presentations, and video.
  • Identify gaps and help build content that tells our brand story at all layers of the content funnel from awareness, to purchase, to retention.
  • Responsible for ensuring brand language aligns with market expectations and is consistent across all forms of marketing communication.
  • Participate in the creation, management, and execution of the company’s content strategy. Write, edit, and oversee production of assets and collateral, working with the marketing and engineering teams and external suppliers.
  • Assist in creating and executing social media campaigns to ensure that they are carried out effectively and meet defined strategic goals over the short-, medium-, and long-term.
  • Responsible for the writing, editing, and scheduling of monthly social media content calendar.
  • Assist with CMS page authoring, deployment, and content updates.
  • Assist with video creation process from concepting through execution including building storyboards, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and more.
  • Assist with SEO strategy by identifying keywords, search terminology, and ensuring content is targeting proper key terms.
  • Assist with marketing administrative tasks as needed.

What You’ll Bring:
 
  • Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in a marketing, content dev or communications role in a B2B or agency organization.
  • Experience with content management systems, marketing automation tools (Pardot, HubSpot, etc.), and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).
Skills You’ll Have: 
  • Very strong written and communication skills, including an aptitude for understanding technical concepts and synthesizing them into meaningful marketing materials.
  • Strong proof reading and editing skills, attention to detail.
  • Prior experience managing and developing content calendars.
  • Ability to tell stories that resonate with target audiences.
  • Manufacturing industry knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter willing to track down information, vendors, and subject-matter-experts in order to deliver results.

NOTE: As a "Hybrid Remote" role, the position will require you to work onsite an average of three days per week and would require relocation for non-local candidates.
