As a Senior Financial Analyst FP&A, you will participate in monthly financial reporting, annual and quarterly budgeting as well as forecasting for JR Automation business units. You’ll work cross functionally to develop streamlined processes while providing strategic guidance to our leadership teams.
Ideally, the right candidate will have the ability to commute to Holland, MI and work a hybrid schedule. Up to 5% additional travel may be required to business units located outside of MI.
What You’ll Do:
Coordination and collaboration of monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating on forward-thinking processes, setting timelines assumptions, and update or build templates as needed (primarily using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint)
Assist in the review of various reporting needs, including month-end financial results, KPI’s, and Hitachi reporting requirements
Work as a liaison within the Finance department by collaborating with the accounting team and Finance Directors (and CFO) to continuously improve our processes and financial reporting by developing streamlined processes where possible, and by effectively communicating to team members to adapt best practices as the organization continues to grow and evolve
Financial modeling for various “ad hoc” and “what if “scenario analysis
Contact and network with both internal and external sources to collect, validate, and interpret complex data to understand and be able to effectively communicate the stories behind the numbers
Function as a key business partner with the organization, including partnering with our SG&A global leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing the adherence to dynamic targets
Collaborate with management to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support through proper financial analysis, collaboration, and critical thinking
Influence business decisions by effectively working as a part of the team in our forecasting efforts
Analyze and summarize 3-statement models, assess financial performance, and help identify and quantify risks and opportunities
Work independently on complex problems
Conduct activities with integrity
Manage confidential and sensitive information with a very strong level of professionalism
Conduct activities in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and established JR Automation policies
Travel as needed, possibly up to 5% (mostly likely only within the US)
Work in various settings, including corporate offices, various facilities, and remote
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
6+ years of experience in a professional finance position
Experience with ERP, CPM (such as OneStream or Hyperion), and CRM systems in an automation or manufacturing setting strongly desired
Positive and professional attitude with a strong desire to
Highly analytical, proven skills in problem solving and attention to detail
Experience with confidential information (including compensation, restructuring, and M&A)
Skills You’ll Have:
Exposure to Percentage of Completion Accounting preferred but not required
Exposure to a manufacturing or job cost accounting environment preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, controls, and reporting
Project management skills and ability to multi-task desired
Advanced computer software skills; experience with Business Intelligence tools desired
Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency and integrity
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
