The purpose of this position is to develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share, manage sales performance, volumes and gross profitability of the sales unit within the company’s framework of policies and procedures. The Director will be responsible for building the crusher parts business in both North and South America.
Continually develop sales strategies to grow present market share, sales volumes and gross profit contributions.
Ensure all sales are conducted at profitable margins in-line with sales strategy and guidelines.
Manage and provide leadership to the Account Managers/ Hire and oversee team of 4-5
Manage and lead Sales meetings and deliver sales presentations when required.
Develop and maintain relationships with all clients to ensure high level of satisfaction.
Provide sales and technical support to customers, sales and service personnel.
P&L performance responsibility of the crushing business in the Americas
Ensure timely, accurate and competitive pricing on all quotes while striving for maximum profitability.
Ensure customer delivery times are met and communicated to the customer.
Review monthly performance results to determine progress against budget and targets and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
Update and maintain accurate customer information in the Salesforce CRM system.
Ensure the timely completion of trip reports.
Provide customer satisfaction input.
Develop new business relationships through effective marketing and promotion and attend relevant trade shows and exhibitions where possible.
Maintain a high level of market intelligence relating to current customer business activity as well as industry knowledge in general.
Conduct annual performance reviews with all staff in conjunction with the HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management or demonstrated ability to work on a level commensurate with the requirement.
Extensive experience in and knowledge of the mining and quarrying industries.
Existing relationships with mine/quarry key decision makers.
Proven success in sales and account management.
Knowledge of maintaining/repairing fixed plant equipment.
Proven ability to prepare a sales budget and monitor sales performance accordingly.
Ability to present proposals to senior decision makers.
Sound knowledge of the sales, quote and order process.
Proven negotiation and communication skills.
Experience reporting on performance and tracking performance over time.
Experience in producing detailed quotes and tenders.
