HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Signaling On Board Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of administrative and strategic tasks. The position is based in Bangalore.

Mission:

Deliver On Board Signalling design for medium complexity projects (in terms of number of subsystems or interfaces involved) in accordance with industry and company standards and processes. Provide guidance documents (guidelines, templates, training support documents) on HW and Functional On-Board OB design.

Accountabilities:

Ensure the creation and monitor the effective implementation of a lessons-learnt database where the detected design errors, process and tool inefficiencies and the related corrective actions are duly recorded With reference to On-Board Signalling design for complex Signalling projects • Ensure the review of On-Board Signalling design requirements allocation and gap analysis and demonstrate the compliance of configuration design documents by the traceability" • Ensure the delivery of On Board Signalling designs (HW, SW, functional and configuration design, interface control, production check) in accordance with Customer requirements, industry and company standards and processes • Ensure the delivery of On Board signalling design document in compliance with industry standards for rolling stock applications (e.g. EN50155, EN50121-3-2 , EN50125-1, EN61373, EN45545-2, UIC 505- 01) and with company processes and standard solutions. • Participate in technical reviews to detect design errors, process and tool inefficiencies, and ensure the implementation of corrective and improvement actions • Ensure the execution of the Verification activities on issued documents, according to the V&V Plan • Guarantee the functional analysis of Validation feedback and site tests.

Education qualifications preferred: B.Tech/B.E (ECE/EEE)
