The Environmental Business Division, North America, is focused on utilizing innovation to improve the world and the lives of its citizens. We bring together disparate components to develop an end-to-end green transformation solution for our customers. EBD-NA provides sophisticated solutions primarily focused on IoT, Decarbonization, and Green Business Solutions.

Summary

The Enterprise Sales Executive will lead efforts in identifying and developing business opportunities in the Electrification of the Transportation system, Sustainability, and Energy/Grid Management sectors. They will leverage their deep understanding of these industries and their extensive connections to identify potential client partners facing large-scale business challenges that Hitachi's digital solution portfolio can address. The ideal candidate will have strong industry and customer relationships, knowledge of industry problems and solutions, and the ability to present complex technologies and business value to executive audiences. This role will be part of Hitachi's Environmental Business Division and will focus on supporting customers' green transformation through innovative digital solutions. The ideal candidate should have 20+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business challenges in targeted industries and sell Hitachi solutions to solve them, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients and Hitachi team to build vision, validate requirements, and manage solution implementation
  • Work with Hitachi experts to recommend end-to-end solutions
  • Articulate business models, options, results to executive level audiences
  • Influence development teams to meet client requirements
  • Identify future opportunities, manage sales cycles and answer client questions
  • Prepare and present technical solutions to clients, large groups, and conferences
     

Skills and Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, with preferred advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
  • 20+ years of experience in enterprise and industrial sales, with a focus on selling enterprise solutions to Fortune 500 companies
  • Strong knowledge and experience in electrification of transportation systems, sustainability, and energy/grid management
  • Proven track record of exceeding multimillion-dollar quotas and managing complex sales cycles
  • Experience with creating MSA's and SOW's, and dealing with customers from start-ups to Fortune 1000 companies
  • A large professional network and business development skills
  • Willingness to work in a large, global, matrixed company
  • Ability to build ROI models and sell value
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to evaluate and explain technical and business trade-offs to executive and large client audiences
  • Regular travel may be required.

For residents of New York City, New York, California, and Washington state only, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is $177,600 - $220,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.

For residents outside of New York City, New York, California, and Washington state, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is $150,960 - $188,700. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
