Job Purpose:
To provide a comprehensive Project Accounting and cost control services on the running projects and any upcoming projects.
To ensure robust financial systems are in place and are serviced throughout the lifecycle of the project.
To provide an effective reporting link between the Project team and the Corporate Finance Department
To deliver a highly professional service to all stakeholders.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Project Finance Controlling
Project wise Cost & Profitability analysis, Project activities analysis.
Analysis of work packages of different projects with PMs, ensure that the project
Finance Situation is sincere and accurate Analysis/Review of Project Status (Revenue, Cost, Margin, Cash flow) periodically.
Challenge the Estimate to Complete in order to maximize the Project Margin.
Participation in VO (Variation Order) and EOT claim evaluation.
Participate in Risk Review meeting and update the risk register and cost accordingly.
Prepare the Project Review (Monthly & Quarterly) data
Periodical meeting with PMs for project assessment, re-estimation
Preparation of annual budget and forecast within time schedule and regular variance analysis of Budget/Forecast for the project.
Analysis of KPIs (Revenue, Margin, Cash and cost -Proj.)
Work closely with Project Managers to create comprehensive financial plans and track progress as the project advances
Formulate and set up system to manage cash flows during project implementation.
2. Cost Management
Ensure costs are correctly allocated to Project costs
Control and reconcile designated balance sheet accounts and project codes.Manage the direct costs and overheads associated with the Project Team including staff costs
3. Reporting
Daily/Monthly Accounting activities and MIS to HO (Head Office, AD).
Management of Accounts Payable (From Vendor invoice accounting to payment process).
Approve the payments in Bank Portal after getting due approvals from PM and HO.
Cash flow management: Monthly/Yearly forecasting of Cash Flow
Accurate projection of cash inflow and outflow for the project.
Compliance of accounting/reporting in line with monthly and yearly group reporting calendar.
Manage all audits both internal and external auditor (Stat. audit, GST audit,
Liaising with tax consultants and Manage taxes- Indirect, and Direct Taxes Monthly & Yearly closing and Finalization of Financials.
3. Advice and Support to Projects teams and Corporate Finance:
Supporting the Projects Head, Finance head and Corporate Services in effective monitoring of various projects under implementation.
Assisting Corporate Finance with the preparation of financial reports
Ensuring Projects perform against budget by providing financial and monitoring reports, analyzing variances and addressing potential problems with budget holders
Providing advice, support and training on financial issues to the Projects team

Take Part in Commercial Negotiations with customer, contractors, consultants etc
Dealing with Auditors , Compliance authorities etc
Educational Qualification: CA/ ICWA (CMA)
Experience: 9-15 Years
Technical & Functional Requirements:
1.Accounting/ Project Controlling
Previous experience of Project controlling for EPC/LSTK projects
Extensive experience of computerised accounting systems – SAP, ERP etc including report writing Analytical Skills
Experience of managing preparation of monthly management reports and delivery of analysis
Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills and advanced Excel work
A meticulous and methodical approach
Ability to identify and create improvements in reporting in line with project needs
2. Project Management Skills
Good track record in delivering accurate, high quality work and reports to deadlines and to required standards
Strong report preparation and writing skills
Strong project management and administrative skills
