Hitachi Rail is defined by sophisticated OT and manufacturing technology, cutting-edge IT, and products trusted for their high quality and reliability. Drawing on the wider Hitachi market-leading technology and research-and-development capabilities, the Rail Group strives to deliver industry leading innovations and solutions that can deliver value for customers and sustainable railway

systems that benefit wider society.

Sustainability is at the heart of Hitachi Rail. Currently, railway signaling and automation solutions require significant physical technology to operate. This activity does not only refer to the hardware, operation and maintenance of the technical equipment but to the entire infrastructure necessary to power and connect it.

Hitachi Rail is working on removing and simplifying field-based and on-board

technology to optimize railway operation. This reduces physical assets, operation and maintenance costs and allows it to use software to achieve data driven outcomes. Hitachi Rail has a global team of over 12,000 working across 38 countries, bringing together the capability, resource and financial strength of rail businesses around the world, working across rolling stock, service and maintenance, signaling and turnkey procurement. Hitachi understands that only through collaborating with suppliers will sustainable and profitable growth be achieved. It believes that by working together, it can deliver on its commitment to play a key part in delivering a best-in-class product for the millions of passengers who travel on the rail networks every day and for the benefit of wider society.
