Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Deputy Commissioning Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of organizational, planning and monitoring tasks. The position is based in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Mission

Assist the project Principal Commissioning Manager in his tasks. Giving support in coordination of stakeholders for the development of commissioning related deliverables, including participation in constructability and operability activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Survey tests execution.

• Provide structured feedback and report to the Principal Commissioning Manager in order to allow monitoring and control of progress.

• Provide structure feedback and report to the Principal Commissioning Manager about any deviations from the company and project procedures as far as concerns health, safety and quality.

• Assisting the Principal Commissioning Manager for the handover activities of constructed technologies according to the quality procedures.

• Monitor and control stakeholders for a structured reporting of issues, defects and blockers raised during the testing phase. Coordinate with knowledge owners for the analysis and resolution of issues.

• Participate in meeting with the internal company stake-holders;

• Assist the Principal Commissioning Manager during audit with client/authority/Third Parties, collecting evidences and reports.

• Assist the Principal Commissioning Manager monitoring and control the budget, building structured reports to the controllers and the project managers.

• Monitor and control the non-conformities raised during the testing phase, according to the quality procedures.

• Assist Principal Commissioning Manager in risk management of test related tasks.

• Assist the Principal Commissioning manager in monitoring the compliance of the HSE rules according to Safety Plans and company procedures.

Performance criteria:

• Achievement of measurable tasks assigned by direct manager, in relation to Project Milestones.

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent English written and spoken skills.

• Good reporting and communication skills.

• Willing to balance field and office activities. Flexibility, resilience and strong organizational skills.

• At least 5 years of experience in construction projects, preferable big size.

• Greek language would be considered a plus.

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree within relevant technical areas. Transport, Mechanical, Electric, Electronic background/degree is preferred.
