HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Manufacturing Test Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of assigned actions as per the manufacturing action plan (i.e. audit, failure analysis, improvement plan, etc.)
  • Assist production staff with production testing issues, primarily on electronic products.
  • Communicate issues to R&D department for assigned activities and submit forms and markups for documentation updates.
  • Support technology transfers of test processes across the global supply chain.
  • Ensure the implementation of new test process and tools as per assigned action plans. 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to repair electronics including troubleshooting and repair activity (soldering & wire routing/crimping). Must have or be able to obtain IPC-610 & 620 certifications, in-house training available upon hire.
  • Able to perform light fabrication work to create/modify mechanical enclosures.
  • Computer diagnostic & repair.
  • Able to identify and source electronic components for projects.

Desired Skills:

  • LabView programming.

Education:

  • Minimum of associates in electronics field or equivalent work experience.
