Description

Summary of the position:

Product Specialist is an inside sales role that fields general equipment inquiries (phone & email), technical questions, and special pricing requests. The candidate will routinely coordinate multiple requests simultaneously and provide technical support and special pricing to customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external teams to develop specialty equipment proposals.
  • Assist customers with sizing air compressors, air dryers, air filters
  • Help customers compare various product offerings and articulate technology and product positioning
  • Develop customer quotations for specialized equipment
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQ’s
  • Provide technical sales support to customers (Sullair will provide training)
  • Maintain detailed records of quotes
  • Resolve customer conflict in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives
  • Maintain professional business relationships with all customers.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization using both written and verbal methods.

Qualifications:

  • Previous compressor or industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Positive energy

Professional experience:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to work cross-functionally on product issue resolution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer focus with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships
  • Highly organized
  • Multitasking experience
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skillset

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Associates or Vocational degree, Technical School, Military, or advanced educational institution considered
