POSITION:     Senior Civil Construction Engineer Brisbane

Long term role – immediate start

Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions. As Senior Signalling/Electrical Engineer you will be working to execute the ETCS L2 project. You will work closely with the Senior Construction Engineer to ensure all ETCS L2 project is delivered to a high standard.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Provide civil engineering design and documentation services as part of commercially valuable and effective civil engineering solutions to the ETCS L2 Project
  • Provide design and documentation for railway civil engineering infrastructure
  • Maximise commercial outcomes by initiating, developing and reinforcing strong stakeholder relationships and by applying high quality influencing, advocacy, resolution and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Take a central role as the lead in Project Civil engineering, to ensure delivery of effective and commercially valuable civil engineering solutions.
  • Propose, develop and implement business improvements, technology development and innovation to generate commercial advantage and outcomes
  • Meet the requirements of professional practice and/or the Quality Management System to provide consistent output of civil engineering services and advice, ensure compliance with safety, operational and environmental Legislation, regulations and practices.
  • Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.
  • Support the Senior Construction Manager and the wider construction team in the execution of the ETCS L2 project.


  • Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent engineering qualification which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
  • 10+ years in civil engineering in a rail or civil construction environment
  • Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
