Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Bid Consultant Senior Professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples or Genoa, Italy.

WITH REFERENCE TO BIDS:

• Ensure the preparation of complex Operation Service & Maintenance (OS&M) bids in compliance with Hitachi bidding process
• Ensure the coordination of the entire OS&M Bidding Team
• Ensure the coordination with the Design and Build bidding team in case of joint bid D&B + O&M
• Support the definition of the partnering scheme and the preparation of the agreements with the partners (when applicable)
• In case of JV, ensure the coordination with the partners, the definition of the SOW (when applicable) and the allocation of responsibilities
• Ensure that all risks are identified and consolidated according to the Company risk management procedure
• Support the Sales Manager in the definition of the bid strategy and target price
• In case of award and contract signature, ensure the handover to the Project Team
• Ensure the continuous update of DBComm data base for the assigned bids

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• University Degree (preferably engineering)
• More than 10 years of experience
• O&M Market Knowledge
• Cost estimating /awareness
• Price awareness
• Contractual knowledge (incl. PPP scheme)
• Risk analysis
• Finance and Economics
• Negotiation
• Database Management

Languages:

Good English proficiency (written and spoken)
