Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.


With strong growth in our Perth branch, we are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join the Sales team as a Major Accounts Manager. In this role, you'll enjoy promoting and identifying new opportunities to maximise sales to our new and existing clients whilst further developing relationships with our customer base.

Reporting to the CE Sales Manager - Western Region, your day to day duties will also include!

  • Conduct and participate in regular sales meetings
  • Work closely with our current customers
  • Interpret and understand client queries and be able to provide a solution
  • Review promotional activity to help maximise effectiveness of sales.
  • Negotiating contracts and managing project costs
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring the successful completion of the projects
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies of product are available to meet forecast.
  • Investigate customer complaints and recommend corrective action

About You

  • You will have proven sales experience in an environment preferably in or associated industries
  • Confident, courteous and professional communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work cooperatively with other stakeholders to further develop the organisation
  • A keen attention to detail and a high level of organisational skills
  • Highly developed capacity to exercise judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Highly developed organisational, administrative and communication skills.
