The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery has an exciting opportunity within our International Operations group for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Projects & Business Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Brisbane branch located in Wacol, 4076 QLD.

This position would suit someone who is dedicated in planning and coordination of major business projects and has had exposure to contract administration. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager of International Operations Section, within our Mining Business Unit you will be in required to exercise the below.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assigned projects to ensure on time delivery, budget management and maintenance through organisation of; identifying schedules, budget estimations, project implementation plans, risk mitigation and project completion of documentation / reporting.
  • Aligned projects with business goals, ensuring that deadlines are being met, and adjustments to project scopes or schedule uphold efficiency and maintenance of project requirements.
  • Establish, build rapport and maintain relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders of the business.
  • Provide assistance as required for tenders, supply contract negotiations and responses, including initial drafting of contract clauses and tender responses.
  • Conscious in reviewing and updating relevant of compliance, company policies and procedures providing your recommendations on improvements.

About you

  • Excellent time management and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously with a structured approach.
  • Strong understanding or previous experience in working with conventional contracts and business terminology to assist in drafting contract clauses, coordination of tenders and supply contract negations.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting reports, presentations and general administration duties
  • Advanced understating of MS Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meticulous about meeting deadlines.
  • Tertiary related qualification in Business, Commerce or Communication highly regarded but not essential.
