About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and motivated individual to join the Victorian service team in the position of Field Service Coordinator.

The role will have you organising the day to day Field Service activities, planning work fronts efficiently and effectively to deliver Hitachi's promise of Total Customer Satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be a team player as your positive and self-motivated attitude will contribute to the success of the aftersales team.

As an integral part of the Victorian service team, you will be working with like-minded service coordinators reporting into the Field Service Supervisor maintaining safety and environmental standards as well as ensuring service sales and expense control is exercised in every instance to achieve team goals and targets.

About You - To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A positive attitude with the technical aptitude to assist our Customers and field service technicians on a daily basis.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of construction equipment, Specific exposure to earthmoving equipment will be a distinct advantage, aligned industries such as heavy commercial vehicles, material handling etc. will be considered
  • Strong work ethic, providing quality and timely outcomes
  • A strong developed awareness and commitment to personal and peer health and safety; always exercising a high duty of care to yourself and others around you
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and planning OEM service and maintenance jobs - service coordinator or maintenance planner role exposure will be a distinct advantage.
  • Advanced computer literacy including the use of Excel, Microsoft Dynamics and Fleetwave Management Systems would be highly beneficial
  • Highly developed ability to understand varying customer needs and coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines within our successfully busy field service department
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to prepare and update work orders and timesheets in a timely manner, maintaining documentation and warranty claims with 100% accuracy
  • Personable and Professional Communication Skills - above all else, your personality and charismatic character will be what sets you apart from the rest
