POSITION:     Senior Signalling/Electrical Engineer Brisbane

Long term role – immediate start

Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions. As Senior Signalling/Electrical Engineer you will be working to execute the ETCS L2 project. You will work closely with the Senior Construction Manager to ensure all ETCS L2 project is delivered to a high standard.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead assignments in the office or the field in signal engineering work and associated railway construction activities
  • Carry out signalling circuit design, preparation of control tables, cost estimates and specifications.
  • Conduct validation checking of safety critical signalling designs as directed
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of signalling installation works
  • Supervise and check work of technical staff assigned to the same project in the office or the field
  • Work under supervision. Duties are generally assigned orally as to methods and procedures to be followed
  • Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.
  • Support the Senior Construction Manager and the wider construction team in the execution of the ETCS L2 project.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Signalling and/or Electrical engineering or equivalent engineering qualification which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
  • 10+ years in Signalling/Electrical engineering in a rail environment
  • Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
