About the Opportunity

At Hitachi we are seeking a qualified and motivated Field Service Fitter to join our team. The role will be based in our new state-of-the-art facility in Newcastle. This will be a Full Time permanent role which offers a 10% field allowance on top of a generous hourly rate.

About the Role

• Provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of Construction and Mining equipment products.
• Conduct all repairs and maintenance jobs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
• Parts receipted for workshop to be tagged or binned to correct workshop
• Ensure compliance with company's Environmental Policy, quality standards, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

About You

• Certificates of Trade - diesel mechanic, heavy vehicle, plant mechanic - light vehicle mechanic considered
• Proven mechanical work experience
• Understanding and delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
• Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi's number one priority - always exercising a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and for others around you
