The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist will provide project, initiative and reporting support for DEI program in ASEAN region under the direction of the DEI Leader. Work in close collaboration with Regional Head of DEI, Deputy Regional Head of DEI, the global DEI Team, HR & Sustainability team members to ensure we are maximizing the Inclusion, Diversity and Equity opportunities within the ASEAN region and bring alignment with the global DEI priorities.

This role will find meaningful avenues to support employee education and involvement, systems review, reporting, budgeting control and good communications strategy to execute program objectives.  As such, this role requires high attention to detail, critical thinking, creativity, growth mindset and resilience to deliver long term DEI journey. Ability to manage multiple priorities. And at the heart is the ability to connect, curiosity to hear what isn’t being said, and compassion to find a successful plan to transform organization culture toward DEI strategy for innovation and growth of business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate with related activities and related department such as Human Resource, Sustainability to promote and execute DEI programs, policies and guidelines to attract, retain and advance a highly skilled and talented diverse workforce.
  • Design internal and external communication plan. Curates a list of recommended posts for social media engagement related to DEI and collaborates with Corporate Communication Group (CCG)  to capitalize on social media accounts, internal communication channel and influencers to drive internal and external awareness and support. (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook).
  • Occasionally serve as a facilitator, project coordinator and subject matter expert on DEI related initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinates administrative needs for DEI program, material prep, communication reminders, vendors and employee activities including meeting set up of DEI council member, DEI working team, HR, CCG and Sustainability team to align DEI direction.
  • Supports development, reporting, and forecast of metrics for DEI program and activities.  Will participate in Global DEI meeting, quarterly and annual reporting requirements as needed.
  • Research internal data relevance to DEI to define local actions to reach central KPIs and utilize internal data to for analytics and drive DEI goals and KPIs.
  • Research external trends and advise on DEI issues in the region for developing local programs, practices, policies, and community-related events to further DEI.
  • Manages the allocated DEI budget and propose new initiatives under the budget.
  • Manages and responds to internal inquiries about DEI initiatives and activities. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Have a sound understanding of the ‘diversity, equity, inclusion landscape and challenges’ in the ASEAN region.
  • Have ability to manage, organize and implement multiple projects with cross functional team project in region-wide projects.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.  Experience in working effectively and influencing decision makers with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced, progressive environment.
  • Careful attention to detail, accuracy in performing job duties and acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Well-developed personal computer skills using internet, social media, visual design to keep good brand image, and MS Office programs.  Adept at excel and experienced in translating data into meaningful charts and dashboards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive outlook. 
  • Professional, and effective presentation skills, facilitation skills for all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Sound decision making ability using judgement and critical thinking while keeping employer brand protection at forefront.
