We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering quality products and solutions to our customers. Over 60 years ago, Hitachi Energy introduced a new way of transmitting electricity across long distances with minimum losses - High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC). You will contribute to successful results in the heart of HVDC station: Modular Advanced Control for HVDC (MACH(T)). R&D development in Krakow is focused among DSP (digital signal processor) units, I/O systems and Power Electronics valve control units. FPGA development is done on chips delivered by Xilinx and Lattice. Reporting to Mateusz Guzik, you will utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and/or product development to identify and implement innovative solutions.

  • Cooperation with specialists from international teams.
  • Learning and developing your skills to understand technical know-how.

Your background:

  • You are a 2nd - 5th year university student (programming, automation, mechatronics, electronics, power electronics or related field).
  • You are familiar with FPGA/ASIC designs in VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Basic understanding of synchronous design, time constraining and design simulations is a plus.
  • You have basic experience with laboratory equipment, prototyping and testing.
  • You can effectively communicate in English (B2+).
  • You are strongly committed to safe work practices and to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • You are self-motivated, curious and eager to learn about new technologies.
