As a Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) you will be part of a strong team of professionals at EUC HUB Supply Quality Team for High Voltage Products located in Karlstein. Within the Supplier Quality organization, our mission is to ensure that purchased materials for our production units always keep high quality level.

As Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) you will be responsible for one or several product areas and perform preventive quality assurance along with supplier development.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for product complaints of supplied material from external suppliers
• You drive and monitor the supplier process- and part-qualification to ensure that your supply base is and remain fully qualified and compliant
• You support supplier onboarding along with buyer via SAP Ariba
• You perform required product surveillance at supplier manufacturing site and drive improvements
• You represent the "Voice of Supplier" to Hitachi Energy (e.g. R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Manufacturing)
• You conduct regular supply quality reviews with local manufacturing units to set the improvement focus and help to ensure proper reporting from local to global systems
• You execute improvement projects along with Supplier- and Hitachi-team
• You will work in close cooperation with category teams, responsible buyers, Q&OPEX, Sustainability/HSE, R&D/Engineering and project tender teams, among others

Your background

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering and/or equivalent
• Technical competence and minimum 3 years working experience in Quality
• Fluency in German and English language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment
• Extensive product knowledge of High Voltage Components
• You have experience within production or design
• Experience of working with suppliers
• You have knowledge in Lean 6 - Sigma or statistical process control
• Experience of Non Conformance Resolution (SNCRP)
• Experience within machinery or industry
