With our competence center "Grid and Power Quality Solutions" we hold a leading position in the development, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance of medium-voltage frequency converters in the power range up to 150 MW. Our portfolio includes typical applications such as traction power supply, AC excitations or static compensation solutions. These products are used in power supply companies and in industry. As reinforcement for our service team we are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a great interest in power electronics and control technology. Your responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting (remote and on-site) incl. replacement of components

  • Commissioning and training at customer site

  • Professional support for customers as well as cooperation with Control Engineering, Project Managers, System Engineering and Mechanical Engineering

  • Preparation of technical documentation of the work

  • Evaluation, planning and implementation of components / systems exchange for mid-voltage frequency converters as well as sales support in the concept and tendering phase

  • Support from Control Engineering in programming and documentation of control software as well as specifications for manufacturing and test documentation

  • Implementation of PC updates (cybersecurity)

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree (Uni / FH) in electrical engineering with solid experience in process control and software design (incl. 800xA Control Builder or another programming language with structured text).

  • Extensive knowledge in the field of control engineering and power electronics

  • IT knowledge in the area of cybersecurity 

  • German and English fluently spoken and written

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 15 %, commissioning) with focus on Europe

  • Responsible team player with strong communication skills

  • Quick and precise comprehension as well as willingness to learn new techniques, applications and processes

  • Experience in a multicultural, international environment
