Senior Technical Writer

Description

Hitachi Energy is looking for a talented and self-standing technical writer for its Kraków, Poland location.

In this role, you will cooperate with multiple development teams to write documentation mainly for software.

Your responsibilities

• Create and update product documentation and descriptions without oversight.
• Cooperate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers, and other Technical Writers.
• Speak with development teams to clarify feature details and specifications.
• Take the lead of documentation projects.
• Share your knowledge with other team members.
• Test beta features and learn how our software works to become a subject matter expert.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or higher in technical writing, English, communications, or a related area of study.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken).
• Proven experience of writing for technical receivers.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English.
• Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English (Microsoft Manual of Style or the AP Stylebook) or STE.
• Experience working with a docs-as-code workflow and DITA.
• Experience with technical writing tools (Tridion Docs), content management systems, source control systems (Git), and Azure DevOps.
