General information: You will be working within HVDC Automation department as thesis worker, developing a new product feature that adds value to our customers while minimizing the security challenges we are facing in remote testing setup. Software Development or Modification of an IEC Protocol Simulator as per our requirements. There are various IEC 60870 101 / 104 protocols available in market as open source, but we want to have the enhanced versions of those with updated automation functions. We can use existing open-source simulator as a base or develop something entirely new. The simulator Software shall also include Automation functions, like Automatic Test Sequence execution, Compare Output results and generate the Consolidated report for the entire process. You will be reporting to product responsible designer, with a team of contains supportive product designers. Responsibilities: As a thesis worker, we expect you to conceptualize and design a solution to solve our problem. Develop Protocol Simulator or Modify Existing open-source Simulator. Automation Process integration in Software Developed. Test the Software for Proper Working & Desired results. Prepare regular update reports and other communication materials for internal stakeholders. Your background: You are a Master University Student in IT/OT engineering. Python Developer or Similar Software Knowledge. Embedded Programing Knowledge. Knowledge of Developing Web Interface or Interface in other Tools for Protocol Simulator. Private Network Cloud Setup Knowledge. Equally important is your inner drive, and ability to get things done.
