  • Hitachi Rail is inviting Expressions of Interest for a Store Person, Residential in Karratha on a Monday to Friday roster

    The Position:  Store Person/General Hand/ Associate construction specialist

    About you: As our site/yard storeman you will play an important role in supporting the realisation of projects in the Hitachi Rail portfolio. The Associate construction specialist role is a Permanent Full Time position.

    Long term role – immediate start

    Based in Karratha, you will be part of dynamic, innovative and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions. As the site Storeman, you will be responsible for all delivery and tracking of materials sent to site including housekeeping of our laydowns and warehouse. You will work closely with the construction manager and site supervisors to ensure project material and consumable requirements are ordered and onsite ahead of planned install dates.

    Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Tracking all material invoices being purchased for the project 
  • Getting quotes for materials and ordering and arranging delivery to site. 
  • Tracking of tools and equipment on site 
  • Working with management and supervisors to aid the daily running of all sites within the project
  • Organising and arranging all materials in our Karratha warehouse.  
  • Receiving of deliveries to site from our Perth warehouse 
  • Being involved in meetings on a weekly basis with management and procurement at our Perth office. 
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fork lift Licence
  • C class Australian Drivers licence as minimum, HR preferred
  • Construction White card
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of software tools.
