Production Engineer

Description

Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations to facilitate business activities

• The candidate for this position should have experience in the manufacturing / Power industry and having strong understanding of manufacturing.
• Ensures that Group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources.
• Maintain Safety and Quality standard in production line.
• Ensure in process quality checks and skill certification of blue-collar employees.
• Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating to the employees (blue collar/white collar/contract)
• Blue collar management for optimum qualitative output.
• Responsible for Productivity improvement
• Manages or performs work associated with implementation of improvements in production line.
• Coordination with cross functional team for timely resolution of any issues as well as implement the best practices.
• Responsible for 5S, safety for the stores function.
• Review and implement ABRA & SOP for Production line.
• Aware about productivity improvement tools.
• Leading the Lean Light House deployment with factory operations team
• Responsible for first step of manufacturing to packing and dispatch

Qualification:

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering with 5 to 7 years’ experience in Manufacturing. (Preferred Experience in High Voltage switch gear industry)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be familiar with SAP environment and basic experience of tools like lean manufacturing, KANBAN, FIFO.
• Well versed with MS Office
• Serve as a change agent within the business where you continually challenge conventional thinking and work to improve culture.
• Analytical aptitude and thinking, strong data collection, and analytical skills for a complex project
• Self-motivated and self-organized. Open-mindedness and strong interpersonal skills.
