As the Global Head of Quality & CI, you will play an important part in developing and implementing the strategy of HVDC ensuring that our systems, products, solutions, and services are developed, designed, produced, and operated such that they perform as expected in a growing and demanding market.

In the role you will belong to the HVDC global management team and report directly to the Global Head of Quality for Grid Integration.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and inspire a global team of quality professionals and managers across different regions.
  • Develop and execute our global quality and continuous improvement strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Ensure compliance of the management system with all relevant external certifications.
  • Define and promote the use of standard methods and tools in accordance with Hitachi Energy directives and regulations.
  • Develop the quality and continuous improvement community, from competencies and knowledge required to execute all Q&CI processes and methods to developing capability and workforce planning aligned with the strategic intent of the global product group.
  • Design, implement, execute, and continuously improve a system or framework to generate, prioritize and execute improvement ideas and eradicate top quality issues, striving to become a learning organization.
  • Ensure the Voice of the Customer is represented within the business and leverage to drive the quality agenda.
  • Empower our employees to take ownership for their performance and leveraging their ability to solve problems through innovation.

Your background

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management and/or continuous improvement, preferably in the energy or engineering sector

  • A university degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in leading and developing global teams.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing change in a dynamic, international, and fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical skills, including experience with quality and continuous improvement data and data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience in leading quality and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

  • Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken. Other languages are considered a plus.
