Being part of Brake Business unit engineering team, which is developing different products & technologies related to advance braking systems & automatic parking brakes. The SW Model based implementation engineer who is in charge of defining and developing the control software part of electromechanical brakes and electromechanic parking brakes.

Job Family : Purchasing

During Acquisition phase:

  • Participates to KOM with CLOs and CTG
  • Secures inputs to Purchasing organization (Cat Buyers)
  • Secures timing to ensure quotation process happens in good conditions

During project phase:

  • Act as Project Leader within the BU Purchasing as part of Customer Project Core team member until project closure
  • Manage the APQP readiness of all the BOM (Bill of Material) for projects with external and internal suppliers - Ensure the delivery of components on time, on quality and on cost until PPAP validation to meet customer expectations
  • In serial life:
  • In charge of alignment for cost assessment, procurement schedule and overall strategy between Business Units, Product Units and procurement, acting as a bridge between these functions
  • Coordinates activities related to Purchasing Department in Changes (CHM process BRBU) if evaluation of the CHM requires it
  • Takes the Change Representative role for CHM upon request

Key Activities and tasks:

  • Ensure Suppliers Project Risk Assessment is done for full BOM, according to internal procedures to evaluate APQP complexity and define APQP resources
  • Lead according to APQP risk level defined all resources involved in the organization
  • Coordinate all the functions involved in APQP supplier management
  • Manage supplier concessions before PPAP validation and related recovery plans
  • Manage changes within the projects or in serial life in his/her assigned perimeter (VEC…)
  • Follow-up Capital Approval Template (CAT / CE), BOM costs and supplier tooling costs, upon Project Manager request
  • Synthetize and explain material costs evolutions for CAT / CE Updates
  • Prepare and launch process for Supplier Tooling approval Ensure project driven deliverables according to standards
  • Ensure deliveries of parts (off tools - off tools/off process – PPAP parts) until PPAP validation (support prototype phase)
  • Ensure the completeness of the internal and supplier documentation of the project according APQP standard Ensure communication between supplier and the organization
  • Together with the Project Manager, communicate to the customer the status of components readiness when required
  • Participate to customer visits at the suppliers with Customer Line resources
  • Alert in case of deviation according to internal rules
  • Represent the project at supplier and supplier internally for the project Ensure link with Purchasing team for managing projects and serial life changes
  • Coordinate activities between the teams
  • Monitor product/project profitability, align cost reduction targets and measures per product/project with Category management, lead cost reduction project implementation
