Description

To strengthen our Power Consulting division, we are looking for a Technical Consultant (m/f/d) with relevant expertise in the field of energy transition and its impact on the requirements for high-voltage and extra-high-voltage networks, including system behavior, voltage quality, system stability, and identification of remedial measures. The focus of your experience should be on the integration of high-voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) systems.

Join a team of internationally recognized experts who develop, design, and optimize distribution, transmission, or industrial networks for our clients, taking into account economic and technical constraints.

If you have experience in transmission networks and have been involved in the planning of HVDC projects, and if you also enjoy customer support and business development, we look forward to receiving your application!

Bring your passion and energy and join a team that values a simple principle: Diversity + Collaboration = great innovation.

Our flexible work practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.

We are subject to the terms and conditions of the IG Metall collective agreement for Baden-Württemberg. Therefore, you can expect an attractive salary, 30 days of vacation, additional benefits, vacation and Christmas bonuses, as well as a 35-hour workweek.

Your responsibilities

  • You will support network planning studies for national and international HVDC projects
  • You will be responsible for contract negotiations, proposal preparation, and the execution of studies and consulting projects for major national and international transmission system operators
  • You will create project plans within the framework of project management and coordinate them
  • You will coordinate internal and external partners of Hitachi Energy and work closely with them
  • You will perform steady-state calculations as well as dynamic and transient simulations
  • You will prepare technical reports and conduct customer meetings
  • You will advise our customers on requirements in transmission networks regarding system behavior, voltage quality, and system stability

Your background

  • Successfully completed master's degree or doctorate, for example, in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering
  • Proficient in relevant network calculation tools such as NEPLAN, PowerFactory, PSS Sincal, PSS/E, PSCAD, as well as deep knowledge of Python
  • Experience in model creation, simulation, and evaluation of steady-state, quasi-steady-state, and dynamic processes
  • Strong team player with an interest in working in an international environment
  • Project management skills and willingness to take on responsibilities
  • Independent and result-oriented work style
  • Fluent in both German and English, both written and spoken
