The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:

• Able to Wok in EPC Large scale Projects mainly on Substations /EBOP/Process plants /HVDC Projects 

• Well versed with knowledge on substation/electrical power distribution /generation equipment’s.( MV/LV systems)

•  Having Secondary design expertise and able to Development of Modular /Scalable  mobile electrical substations/Plants 

• Having Overall idea to define and review the Automation and communication solution of the Primary plants

• Lead independently the Project Design, engineering works , strong knowledge in Layouts , Equipment sizing , Earthing , Lighting, Lightening cable schedule etc

• Preparing standards and focus on continuous improvements both technically and functionally.

• Having Knowledge on IEC /ANSI international standards

• Project Lead activities -Responsible for conceptual and detailed design of control panels, energy storage systems and LV/MV panels. & optimization of engineering,

• Standardization – Standardization and develop templates for the Products/panel design & Project /Product documentation preparation.

• Assembly / Manufacturing coordination-Responsible for technical enquiry preparation, vendor assessment, offer evaluations, coordination with factory for technical clarifications, production schedules, manufacturing stage inspections, FAT, and delivery to customer

• Customer co-ordination to Establishes contacts with customer in order to define the technical feasibility of the new products.

•  Supplier co-ordination -Establishes contacts with suppliers for technical support, to improve material quality and/or to decrease costs. Technical Obtains prototype product and develops technical tests. Ensure the deliveries as per schedule and carry out regular reviews

• Safety- Knowledge on safety standards on  product/system design and  Ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times

• Quality – Ensure that quality process is developed and strictly followed on product/project design to ensure the rework hours are minimum.
