Description

You as an Operating Unit Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be building and managing a high performance, result oriented team for execution and delivery of projects that consistently contribute to the top and bottom-line growth of Grid & Power Quality Solutions (G&PQS) in Saudi Arabia. Will be the local lead for the development and management of future Power Electronics Solution Centre (PESC).

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving profitable growth of the structure by implementing and providing input to a global strategy.
  • Acting as the main managerial focal point within the local operating unit including but not limited to the operations and site development.
  • Overseeing all tendering activities within the local structure, certifying that the area of responsibility is properly organized, skilled and staffed as per its needs.
  • Delivering operational or project targets to ensure customer satisfaction as well as key drivers of productivity, bringing performance and cost optimization to the site where possible.
  • Ensuring the achievement of established targets through sufficient regular oversight and creating a definition of actions for improvement where applicable.
  • Guiding, motivating, and developing all subordinates (direct and indirect) within given HR policies.
  • A Senior Manager (M4) typically managing a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and or Team Leaders. Responsibilities typically include - ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department, problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis, requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree of engineering.
  • 15+ years’ experience in handling Projects.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, people skills, commercial skills, business minded, strong leadership/interpersonal skills. Ability to manage/work with virtual (cross border/culture) teams, decisive with problem solving skills. Able to monitor, analyze & report contract performance; current & forecasted.
  • Proficiency in working with Product Management, HVDC and Project STECO team for the development of the G&PQS segment of the proposed PESC.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
