Essential Tasks:

  • Prepares monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure financial statements are reasonable.
  • Supervises and manages performance of responsible staff.
  • Oversees the transactions and data being generated from their responsible area.
  • Prepare product profitability reports and data as needed to management.
  • Lead monthly financial closing process.
  • Responsible for certain aspects of site Sarbanes Oxley compliance project as assigned by F&A management.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for certain general ledger accounts and reviews others within area of responsibility.
  • Lead in the budget process.
  • Prepare and manage the monthly forecasting process.
  • Provide assistance to the department on a wide variety of F&A projects.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information is required.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and follows all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for following all quality policy standards.

Educational Requirements:            

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree/CPA preferred. 5+ years prior related experience required.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications:

  • Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications.

  • 3+ years experience using general accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. 

  • Performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Supervisor Responsibilities:          

Supervisory responsibilities may be possible to perform the job duties as designated by area management.

Working Conditions: 

Pleasant office environment, primarily; moderately loud manufacturing environment, manufacturing environment, secondary.

Physical Requirements:                   

Major portion of schedule is spent sitting, using hands to keyboard, write, and handling files and documents.  Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding are required.  Moving about facility, standing to file and some stair climbing may be required. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception are required.  Lifting limited to no more than 25 lbs.
