Hitachi Energy is looking for a Global Sales Technical Specialist for our Grid Automation BU.

Mission Statement

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Support Specialist with experience in advanced ADMS Solutions including analytics and IT/OT integration. The right candidate will be responsible for strategy and design of the technical solutions in the sales opportunities.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for qualifying new opportunities by using analytic and diagnostic skills to match user requirements to Hitachi Energy Network Control Solutions
  • Perform presentations and demonstrations of the solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer challenges through frequent customer visits, meeting a diverse range of existing and potential customers
  • Based on the technical solution strategy, being responsible for the design of the technical solution offered to the customers
  • Participate in the bid preparations
  • Take responsibility for the development of demo scenarios for customer demos, workshops and proof of concepts

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience with an electric utility working with IT/OT integration and/or with a system integrator working with integration and analytics in the Power utility domain.
  • In-depth understanding of the use of advanced applications within the electric utilities, preferably in the field of ADMS and DERMS
  • Broad IT/OT knowledge with experience in 3rd party system integration and IT security
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English, additional languages such as French an advantage
  • Flexibility for travel required
