Roving Diesel Mechanic

(This role allows you to be based anywhere within the South Island)

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth particularly in our Southern region, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Commercial Vehicle Technician or Equipment Technician (Diesel Mechanic) to join our team as a roving mechanic!

This position would suit a mechanical trade professional who provides quality, efficient and accurate service and maintenance outcomes and who has the flexibility to travel around the South Island to provide support to our various busy branches.

If you have the following in your toolbox, we would love to hear from you:

• Heavy Diesel Qualification with 5 years + heavy diesel experience
• Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy Commercial Vehicles
• Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking to navigate complex issues and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset ensuring the CablePrice "first choice" customer vision is upheld
• Able to think outside the box
• Health and Safety champion
• An ability to work autonomously
