We now have an opening as Project Manager in the Automation department. The automation department manages the deliveries of different sub-systems of a HVDC transmission system including overall SCADA system, AC substation Control & Protection, communication including Cyber Security and Telecom equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Manage the automation part of HVDC projects, from tender stage to delivery completion.
• Lead a team of engineers from the automation department representing the different technical disciplines.
• Ensure good interaction, coordination, and information flow between all project stakeholders.
• Manage multiple contracts with customers and sub-suppliers.
• Work closely with project directors, controllers, planners, and contract managers to manage the project and periodically report and present status and progress in review sessions.
• Travel 5 to 10 times per year, representing Hitachi Energy in the best of ways.

Your background

• Background as technically proficient project manager or commercially proficient project engineer. Experience from projects in the energy sector. Preferably substations, FACTS or HVDC.
• Strong sense for business, comfortable with customer meetings and technical negotiations, interested in and understands contracts and a strong sense of responsibility for safety and business ethics.
• Passion for people and technology. You love working with people and understand that your ability to deliver a successful project depends on your teams and their abilities to function and collaborate in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
• Proficient and fluent in English is required since you will be part of an international setting where you will need to communicate with people from all over the world.  Swedish is a plus.
