QA & Testing Engineer for Digital Solutions

Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated QA & Testing Engineer on Digital Solutions who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The positions are based in Naples.

Accountabilities

• Ensure the review of SW design requirements allocation and gap analysis and demonstrate the compliance of design documents by the traceability;
• Ensure the execution of the Verification and Validation activities on issued documents, according to the V&V and Quality Plan;
• Contribute to the demonstration of compliance with applicable standards
• Analyze all the documents produced by HRSTS development and engineering : high level requirements, functional requirements, non -functional requirements, software requirements, design and architectural specifications,
• Verify the completeness, correctness and the consistency of the requirements, highlighting ambiguous or unclear requirements,
• Verify that the documents include adequate graphical descriptions to improve the requirements readability and comprehension,
• Underline the lack of coherence among requirements,
• Verify that the requirements are aligned to related structure defined by HRSTS;
• Modify the requirements in order to satisfy all the bullets points previously reported;
• Check if and how the requirements could be tested.
• Identify and write and execute all the tests necessary to validate the verified requirements and product functionalities adn to ensure the quality of the solutions (functional tests and performance tests).
• Iidentify and, if necessary, will develop the simulation methodologies and tools could be used to ensure the best simulation and testing environment.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Past V&V experience, writing and executing test
• Experience with performing and documenting design and test activities in accordance with CENELEC Standards
• Experience of C/C++, Java, Python, Go, multi-threaded programming etc.
• Experience in XML, JSON, JavaScript, CSS, HTML etc.
• Experience in exposing web services, such as, JAX-WS/REST
• Experience in Web Service Security (WSS) and PKI infrastructures
• Experience with REST API design and development, Software Containerization and Serverless Computing
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Spark, Hadoop, PostgreSQL (table design, queries, query optimisation) or other distributed frameworks
• Experience of containerization platforms like Docker and implementing them in a microservices distributed cloud architecture
• Experience with test automation
• Experience with agile methodologies.

Education/Qualifications
Degree in a Computer Science or an Engineering subject
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
