In our R&D department, we are currently looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to join our team of R&D specialists. Are you interested in developing electro-mechanical systems and sub-components for next generation of charging solutions in the field of e-Mobility, such as eBus, eTrucks, flash-charging and large EV depots/terminals? Are you passionate about working in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and the company’s global R&D team drawing on your demonstrable communication skills? Your responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test mechanical components for EV DC fast charging infrastructure ensuring product meets all requirements.

  • Create 3D model and assembly CAD models

  • Prepare mechanical piece part and assembly design drawings conforming to all applicable regulations and standards.

  • Perform product validation and verification testing of complete system and subsystem at the concept, prototype and production phases of development.

  • Participate in agency certification and approval process

  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams/partners to ensure smooth transition of product to production

  • Manage R&D work packages in view of date, cost and quality aspects

  • Define and perform Factory Acceptance Tests of mechanical components and systems

Your background:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering

  • 5 – 7 years experience designing and developing electro-mechanical systems

  • Minimum 5 years experience designing sheetmetal enclosures and assemblies (welding, fasteners, etc..).

  • Experience conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

  • Solid understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFS (Design for Serviceability) principles.

  • Minimum 5 years 3D CAD modelling experience (Solidedge or SolidWorks)

  • Experience defining and documenting system and architecture requirements for complex electro-mechanical solutions.

  • Experience designing UL/IEC compliant enclosures

  • Experience conducting thermal and structural analysis at the component and system level

  • Verbal and written fluency in English

  • Availability to travel to Europe, approximatively 10%
