Meet our Team The Direct Tax team is responsible for Hitachi Vantara's corporate tax and transfer pricing matters across the EMEA region. This includes, but is not limited to, direct tax compliance, TP reporting, and other tax related tasks (e.g. business advisory, tax audit support). You will have the opportunity to work with the entire EMEA Tax team, other Hitachi Vantara departments and external tax advisors.
What you'll be doing The Senior Tax Accountant supports Direct Tax Manager in EMEA Corporate Income Tax and Transfer Pricing matters. The person leverages the specialized knowledge within this team. EMEA Direct Tax team is responsible for ensuring that Hitachi Vantara operates in the tax compliant way covering the full spectrum of direct taxes: CIT, WHT and TP.
- Review of Corporate Income Tax calculations and returns for EMEA entities prepared by our external tax consultants,
- Review of other direct tax returns for EMEA entities prepared by our external tax consultants,
- Preparation of Corporate Income Tax packages (for US consolidation purposes) - on quarterly and annual basis,
- Calculation of tax provisions at the year closing,
- Calculation of deferred tax calculations,
- Preparation / review of tax notes,
- Looking after CIT accruals and prepayments,
- Assistance during tax audits,
- Preparation all Direct Tax related Balance Sheet reconciliations,
- Preparation of Transfer Pricing local files for EMEA entities, CbC notifications,
- Interactions with the tax advisors and tax authorities.
What you bring to the team - Masters degree preferably in Accountancy, Tax, Finance, Law,
- Typically 3-5 years of experience in Tax (especially CIT accounting),
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance,
- Knowledge of International and Domestic tax legislation,
- Fluency in English,
- Flexibility while adhering to tight timelines, always prioritize and organized,
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiating and problem-solving skills.
