Description

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide HR expertise to our Holland, MI business units. Your responsibilities will include helping to improve work relationships, building morale, advising in legal matters and increasing productivity & retention at the local organization.  You will analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies related to employment relations, talent acquisition, compensation/benefits and training & development. 

This is a hybrid role located in Holland, MI. You must be able to travel onsite for business needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (i.e. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective and thorough investigations. 
  • Reduce legal risks, provide policy guidance and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • You will have the opportunity to advise on strategic decisions, restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to effectively and efficiently identify and hire high caliber employees at competitive wages.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or Partner experience, preferably in a manufacturing/automation environment.
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience handling and resolving employee relations issues. 

Skills You’ll Have

  • Ability to coach managers at all levels, provide timely and constructive feedback
  • Act as an employee champion and business change agent for your respective business unit.  
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives. 
  • Proven ability to accept & give direction, set expectations, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability and willingness to travel required, approximately 25% on average.
