What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Manager-Network security, You would develop, implement solutions through Cisco ISE to strengthen security posture of Hitachi Vantara's internal LAN/WLAN infrastructure. Key responsibilities include

Cisco ISE Implementation - Design, Plan, Install, configure, and deploy Cisco ISE components within the network infrastructure. This includes setting up network devices, integrating with existing authentication systems, and defining policies for user and device authentication, authorization, and accounting.

Cisco ISE - Policy Management : Define and enforce dot1x security policies within Cisco ISE for LAN/WLAN infrastructure. This involves creating access control policies, identity-based policies, and device-specific policies to control user and device access to network resources.

Cisco ISE Troubleshooting and Support : Monitor the Cisco ISE infrastructure for any issues or anomalies. Troubleshoot and resolve network access and authentication problems. Provide technical support to end-users, administrators, and other IT teams. Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities for the Cisco ISE solution. Ensure high availability and reliability of the infrastructure

Global Network Operations : While the role is mostly around Cisco ISE engineering and deployment, You would also be supporting the global network operations handling operational tickets, firewall access requests and new site deployments.

What you bring to the team
  • Minimum 6 years of industry experience as a Network engineer supporting large enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Atleast 2 years of demonstrable experience in designing, deploying Cisco ISE infrastructure
  • Advanced level experience working with identity-based network authentication mechanisms (Cisco ISE, 802.1x).
  • I ndustry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP. Certifications on Palo Alto firewalls would be added advantage.
  • A firm understanding of networking concepts & protocols at all layers: TCP/IP, Routing and Switching protocols
  • Familiarity and experience with Palo Alto next generation firewalls.
  • Hands on experience using network simulation, automation and scripting tools

Hardware/Software Knowledge:
o Hardware: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks,
o Software: Cisco Viptela, IOS/NXOS, PAN-OS, SolarWinds, LiveAction
