What you'll be doing • The Senior Manager Global Spares Planning leads important aspects of Service Parts Supply Chain - forecasting, planning, deployment and rebalancing of Service spare parts
• Leads the day-to-day operations of planning professionals and provide high-level direction and support
• Create, own & improve metrics, dashboards and workflows and play a support role in other supply chain activities like repair operations, inventory optimization & regional planning
• Create an annual operating plan for spare parts procurement
• Create global monthly forecast using Forecasting Tool for Service spare
• Spares planning is also expected to make modifications to the forecast in line with known quality issues, upgrade programs and any other business considerations
• Manage forecasts for new and repaired parts so that availability is maintained at the recommended levels and inventories within agreed upon targets
• Maintain a line of active communication with the repair vendors
• Liaison with service engineering and product development teams to handle forecasts for new product introduction and end of life products
• Liaison with CS&S management teams and finance to review current buy plans and metrics
• Give specific attention to shortage parts and stocked out parts and create a recovery plan for every single part, working with the global service supply planner and global supply chain team
• Maintain key SOPs and Work Instructions for managing specific situations in the Forecasting Tool
• Play a key role in the continuous improvement of Service Parts Planning Software
• Support US region and Global supply planner as appropriate
• Work with global regions to determine excess inventory and lead computation of rebalance/redeployment opportunity
• Work with parts planning software vendor to find solutions for any problems encountered and put corrective actions in place
• Maintain dashboards, metrics and other Service Supply Chain relevant analytics as decided and agreed upon
What you bring to the team • Thorough knowledge of Service supply chain activities, preferably relating to Storage industry
• Inventory Management, Planning & Forecasting, Order Management & Delivery and Escalation Management
• Specific hands-on experience with Service Parts Forecasting Tools like Servigistics, XELUS, Baxter Planning, etc. will be a big plus
• Critical thinking and Multi-Tasking, able to work cross functionally and globally
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimal direction
• Innovative ideas and approaches
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Service Planning, Supply Chain & Fulfilment Operations
