Description

Summary of the position:

A highly visible role managing all aspects of the branch parts operations team.  Provide parts costing and overall parts support to shop operations related to equipment rebuilds and repairs.  Ensure organizational and operational goals (sales, safety, excellence) are met.

This position is located at California Compression Compressed Air Systems, 4659 Las Positas Road, Livermore, California, and reports to the General Manager.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of and drive branch best practices within the department.
  • Oversee the achievement and maintenance of established customer service excellence levels and standards.
  • Plan, prioritize, and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department.
  • Lead the team in effective sales of aftermarket parts and service (PM’s) – achieve established sales and margin goals for the group.
  • Prospect for new customers, convert competitive accounts, penetrate deeper into existing accounts, and protect current customers share and spend.
  • Manage parts sales and ordering cycle from inquiry / quote to shipment / invoicing.
  • Support shop operations (rebuilds and repairs) with parts identification, vendor selection, costing and availability.
  • Manage shop operations parts orders from PO to invoicing.
  • Review customer complaints and address Net Promoter Score (NPS) low survey results with customer and parts / warehouse team.
  • Resolve complex and escalated customer service issues.
  • Evaluate and manage staff performance.  Identify and address staff training and coaching needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school graduate (or GED) required
  • Associates degree in business related discipline preferred.

Professional experience:

  • Management of call center (inside sales) or customer service team.
  • Prior experience leading/managing a diverse team.
  • Prior experience with coaching, mentoring, team building.
  • Familiarity with / experience with SAP preferred.
  • Compressed air experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Working Knowledge of an ERP System (Field Servio and or Sullinet)
