The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
The Global SCM organization in Hitachi Energy provides processes, tools, synergies, innovation and value to our sites and customer projects around the world. In this role you will be subject matter expert and ‘go-to’ person in Global SCM for SCM Digitalization related topics and represent Global SCM in Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Group Procurement related forums and initiatives.
Your Responsibilities:
Define digital supply chain priorities, defining scope, timeline, dependencies, and roadmaps to realize them, leading the process and tools deployment cross regions.
Lead software and hardware procurement activities (including sourcing strategy, RFP/bid review, supplier qualification, supplier agreement).
Collaborate and harmonize with the other Digital & IT functions to maximize business values while ensuring strategic alignment, compliance, security, and technology standards towards SCM initiatives.
Drive the implementation of BIM towards suppliers, securing suppliers engagement, assessment, and work closely to BIM coordinators to ensure that projects run smoothly, and project information models are delivered on time.
You will play key role securing that the units all over the regions have controls and standards in place to maintain material master data quality and integrity.
Work in close collaboration with Global Cyber Security SCM in Hitachi Energy Sourcing Security (HESS) Project to redefine the supplier lifecycle management adopting a risk-based approach.
Your Background:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital or data technology, operations, supply chain, ERP
Solid and successful experience in implementing global sustainability program(s) in large, international organization(s), preferably with focus on procurement.
Track record of successfully implementing common processes, systems and training programs in complex, global organizations
Understanding of processes and stakeholders within an IT Organization
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
