Description
Reporting to Local Unit Manager (PGGI) and, functionally, to HBU HSE Manager and Country HSE, you will: contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture. Support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Facilitate delivery of support from the CoE and Hub Business Unit (HBU) and ensure effective risk management through excellence along Hitachi Energy value chain. Implement the procedures and guidelines establish for the Company Globally, HUB and Locally align with the local HSE requirement and laws.
Preparation of the Health and Safety Plan for each project, considering the risks and preventive measures of the specific activities.
Occasional supervision of the preventive measures implemented on site and participation in meetings on site prior to the beginning of work, whenever the Project requires it due to its characteristics and, especially, when it comes to expanding facilities in service.
Coordination of criteria, preventive measures, procedures, formats, documentation, etc. along with the Health and Safety Coordinator.
Participation in the contractor qualification process according to Hitachi Energy procedures.
Training for Hitachi Energy supervisors prior to the start of work.
Reviewing and monitoring of compliance with legal requirements.
Carrying out health and safety audits on site.
Compilation of the health and safety statistics of each Project and the consolidated report of the unit.
Leadership of incident/accident investigations, together with the related Project Manager and Site Manager. Preparation of internal and external reports, analysis, etc.
Distribution of the lessons learned in the different Projects.
Quarterly meeting with the Project Operations Manager to review open actions and/or new initiatives.
Distribution of monthly local health and safety statistics.
Monitoring of the PPE of Site Managers (current and necessary renewals).
Preparation and participation in monthly management meetings.
Preparation and participation in the monthly HSE HBU review, local Management Committee (CODIR) and monthly Business, Safety and Integrity session.
Support the preparation of emergency plans.
Follow-up actions related to the psychosocial evaluations.
Preparation of the annual reports.
Participate in annual planning Prevention Service, Ergonomic evaluations
Participation design reviews. Safety by Design.
Prepare regular sessions on hazards and Near Misses (NMs)
Monitoring and delivering necessary HSE trainings to the BU employees in Spain.
CAE documentation support
OPS/SOT management
PPE inquiries
ER review of previous technicians, ensure implementation of the "Prevencontrol" tool in the business.
Preparation and participation in ISO45001 audit and HSE legal audit.
ISO14001 audit preparation and participation.
Planning preventive actions.
Other activities in Own Prevention Service and HSE organization in HBL.
Participate in HSE meetings at country level, Own Prevention Service and environment.
Participate in meetings of the country Health and Safety Committee.
Lead the Safety and Health Organization and other country initiatives.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with HSE specializations.
At least 5 years of professional experience in HSE,
Good command of English, both written and spoken. French highly appreciated.
Electrical know-how and safety electrical experience
Ability to travel nationally for short amounts of time less than 10% of the time. Occasional international travel may be needed.
