Being part of Brake Business unit engineering team, which is developing different products & technologies related to advance braking systems & automatic parking brakes. The SW Model based implementation engineer who is in charge of defining and developing the control software part of electromechanical brakes and electromechanic parking brakes.

Job purpose

General Project Management requires general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including:

  • Organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing. Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization).
  • Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects). On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

Initially will be working inside Ford CLO team at V801 project.

Key Activities

Lead Project:

  • Lead project team to ensure their engagement to deliver on time, on spec and on quality
  • Regularly communicate with the team and management about project progress
  • Follow and if necessary help to improve the corresponding processes and guidelines
  • Track project progress with the team : planning, customer milestones, project variances
  • Manage problem solving and risk mitigation process
  • Manage profitability in respect with the awarded contract

Ensure project driven according to Hitachi Astemo quality standards:

  • Follow the Hitachi Astemo project management process and facilitate the team to achieve each milestone with the right information
  • Deliver materials (prototypes – off tools – PPAP)
  • Ensure the completeness of the CBI and customer documentation of the project

Ensure communication / negotiation with Hitachi Astemo customer’s project team:

  • Build and apply the project communication plan to Hitachi Astemo and customer organizations
  • Secure escalation and report flows in time and content by Hitachi Astemo rules
  • Represent Hitachi Astemo at customer and customer at Hitachi Astemo for the project

Profile

Key Professional Competencies:

  • Knowledge in Project Management methodology and tools (eg PMI)
  • Deep knowledge of project management process
  • Technical knowledge and understanding
  • Knowledge in Financials
  • Rather broad functional experience
  • Fluent English level

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong Project management experience in automotive industry
