Heavy Haulage Transport Driver - Auckland

The Opportunity

Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Heavy Haulage Transport Driver to be based from our Auckland Branch for our new Isuzu 8 Wheeler transporter. In this role, we require a skilled driver for machinery moves i.e. clear machinery off the Ports, branch to branch movements of new and used machines, customer machine deliveries, rental fleet deliveries and relocation in a safe and timely manner. You would be part of a wonderful new solution for customers, and you'll get to work with some great people!

Other responsibilities will be:

• Upkeep, repair and maintenance tasks as required
• Locking and securing of all vehicles being shifted
• Vehicle cleaning and checks
• Assist to keep the worksite safe, tidy and secure at all times, including but not limited to removing and reporting hazards and incidents, recycling and general cleaning from time to time

To Be successful in this role you will have:

• 5 Years' experience driving heavy haulage transporters
• Class 5 license
• A valid BESS License and WTR
• Understands heavy haulage regulations.
• Must adhere to all log book rules and requirements.
• Good knowledge of New Zealand's over-dimensional bypass roads.
• The ability to read and understand over dimensional & heavy permits
• The ability to load and unload over-dimensional machinery and civil equipment
• Flexibility to be away from home when and as required
