Sourcing Data Analyst -Trade, Transport & Logistics

The Trade, Transport & Logistics (TT&L) sourcing team is part of the central functions of TT&L in Hitachi Energy. Organized in regions the team is managing all sourcing activities in this area.  To be close to our stakeholders the team is spread globally and because of that very diverse.

The T&L Sourcing Data Analysis Specialist is responsible to cleanse and consolidate shipment data for global and regional general cargo RFQs and conduct analysis of the supplier feedback to display the outcome for the decision-making process. Furthermore, he/she maintains the supplier data base, including supplier status and tariffs in SAP TM. Furthermore, gathers and delivers data for the updating of other internal systems used.

By being the subject expert, the analysist will also be point of contact for internal stakeholder and external suppliers in regards to the data sets and conditions that have been set. These subjects can be around compliance, performance reporting or qualification.

Your responsibilities :

Strategic Sourcing:

• Shipment data cleansing and consolidation for scheduled global and regional general cargo RFQs on regional and global level

• Conduct initial and final RFQ analysis and display outcome/results

• Enter and maintain supplier and pricing data in SAP TM and update internal sources like SharePoint, PowerBI and Keelvar with respective information

• Support the strategic negotiation for general cargo by gathering supplier and pricing data into comparable scenario’s for the decision makers and stakeholders to review during sourcing activities

• Use the data assessments to review with category managers and create or adjust those same scenario’s and be integral part of the end proposal

• Monitor awards results on compliance, quality and identify gaps versus the sourced expectation

Supplier Base Management:

• Maintain supplier data base in SAP TM and SAP based on input from sourcing management team to block execution of deliveries and new PO if needed

• In cooperation with data specialists from our suppliers continously improve and develop the data provided

• Ensure internal availability of up to date information on Supplier qualification, risk status and performance

Your background ​:

• More than 5 years of working experience as data analyst in international transportation, supply chain, Logistics Management or equivalent.

• Experience in supporting global and local sourcing activities

• Must be able to work in remote and comfortable in global multi cultural team

• Advanced desktop computer skills including PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook required

• Experience with tools like PowerBI, Keelvar, Xeneta, and SAP TM are a plus

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Drive to find and design solutions to combine complex data sources with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency

• Strong team player

• Strong written and verbal communications skills required to manage a multitude of internal and external customers and partners

• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus  

• Proactively seek out projects and develop projects around data and dashboard to drive improvement and visibility
