Your responsibilities
Engage in advisory projects executed by the Power. Consulting team for System Studies and analytics.
The projects may involve among others supporting utilities to improve their efficiency in operations, evaluate the impact of renewable integration (offshore and onshore) in the electrical networks, assessment of the introduction of new actors in the electrical ecosystem (E-mobility, H2, industry electrification, railway, smart grids and others) or the assessment of sustainability/efficiency measures to be implemented in electrical systems. Design complex analysis based on data analytics or development of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms. Programming of digital twin model of the electrical system or its control structures.
Participate in consulting assignments using established standards, methods and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues.
Work in an environment of international collaboration within the different Power Consulting units and other Hitachi Energy groups.
Provide support on business development and Marketing/sales tasks with the collaboration with experienced consultant: engage customer with solutions and clarify customer enquiries on technical issues as well as analyses and work on customer’s feedback and propose solutions.
Engage with experienced consultant in Project Management activities such as: planning and scheduling, customer satisfaction, financial and cost management, risk and opportunity management.

Your background
An official master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, data analytics or similar, is required. A related PhD is an advantage.
2-5 years’ experience in some of the fields of electrical power systems studies, control of electrical systems or electrical digital twins.
Experience or skills in data analytic methodologies and databases will be valued, applied to the electrical sector.
Applications with artificial intelligence or machine learning applied to electrical power systems, will be valued.
Cybersecurity methodologies applied to the energy markets or its regulation,
Interests in power systems modelling and analysis in software simulation tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, ETAP, PSCAD and definition of different studies in steady state and dynamics.
Skills in creating and maintaining computer models of electrical systems or equipment, and usage of programming tools (i.e. Python, Matlab, Fortran, VBA, C/C++, Java, SQL…)
The following competences will be highly appreciated: teamwork, time management, attention to detail and problem solving.
Customer focus-oriented, with initiatives in creating close commercial synergies to motivate business opportunities.
Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Any additional languages will be appreciated, especially French and Japanese.
Willingness to travel (Less than 5% of the time).
Current work permit valid in Spain.
