Summary of the position:
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will lead business process evaluation sessions and process consistency between users/systems. While leading several continuous improvement initiatives, this specialist will measure data, monitor processes, and identify opportunities for improvement. This person will also evaluate existing manufacturing processes, analyze implemented changes, and recommend adjustments to workflows, schedules, and other processes as needed.
The position is located at the Hitachi Global Air Power Michigan City manufacturing location.
Duties and responsibilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
