Our Engineering Design Interfaces toward Offshore HVDC stations (Sea platforms) is a key Component in our business unit within Hitachi Energy, based in Sweden with great local Engineering units supporting worldwide. We develop, sell and produces complete HVDC Transmission systems or/and with partners for onshore as well offshore applications.

If your answer is “YES”, we at HVDC Plant Engineering & Civil Design are looking for a new Strategic Product Owner, where you will be our speaking partner towards our Partners, Suppliers and the HVDC Product owner organization. We are looking for a team player who is driven, structured and has a result-oriented mindset. In this role you will be located in Ludvika/Västerås but have the opportunity to collaborate on a global arena with a wide range of stakeholders.

As an Offshore Interface Product Owner you will be part of a key function in driving and coordinating strategic development of design and Requirements for Offshore applications together with all our HVDC Engineering disciplines, Product owners, partners, suppliers, and of cause our customers.  

The Product is an Interface where we align and maintain all our HVDC Eng requirements for specific and General offshore (OWC) applications.

Your responsibilities/Key tasks

• Key tasks are to work with product lifecycle, coordinate, prioritize with long-term focus.
• Overall responsible of the product including product performance, product portfolio, marketing offer, LCM.
• Product cost development and Quality assurance

Your background

• You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous improvement.
• Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional experience in High Voltage applications for station design and interfaces.
• Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude.
• Well versed in MS tools – Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, or similar with focus on Communication, etc.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
• Offshore experience is a plus.
