Responsibilities:

• Help repairman perform operations, requiring two men, contained within the transformer repair occupations

• Performs independently simple tasks involving standard or predetermine procedure

• Move material and equipment (drive truck)

• Operate fork lift as needed

• Assist or fill in for receiver-shipper as required

• Works with or apart from, but under the direction of supervisor or repairman

• May perform independently simple tasks involving standard or pre-determined procedures

• Clean and organize working areas as required

• Organize material and equipment for upcoming jobs/ tasks

• Ability to understand drawings and bills of material

• Stage incoming material per bills of material and job checklists performing all related handling activities as required. Report deviations.

• Dispose garbage and recycling daily into appropriate containers in accordance with local environment standards/guidelines

• Perform repetitive handling, lifting, assembling, sorting and packaging of materials.

• Work includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending frequently

• Ensure accurate identification and labelling of dismantled materials being stored on skids, bakers racks, shelves, etc.

• Perform all work with minimum supervision.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Semi Skilled tradesman preferable

• Technical aptitude

• Basic computer skills / demonstrate ability to develop into a more advanced level.

• Working knowledge of MS Office Work and Excel.

• Ability to navigate within an ERP software such as SAP or equivalent.

• Attention to detail combining quality and efficiency

• Ability to work in a team environment and easy adaptation to several tasks

• Perform all work with minimum supervision

• Fork lift license would be an asset
